Fitraa (Zakat-ul-Fitr) is a compulsory charity that every Muslim must give at the end of Ramadan before the Eid prayer. It purifies the fast from mistakes and helps the poor celebrate Eid with happiness and dignity.

Obligatory Charity at the End of Ramadan – Sadaqat al-Fitr is wajib upon every eligible Muslim before Eid prayer

Fixed Amount per Person – It is given on behalf of each family member including children

Paid Before Eid Salah – It must be distributed before the Eid prayer to be valid

Supports the Needy – It ensures the poor can celebrate Eid with dignity

Purifies the Fast – It cleanses shortcomings and mistakes made during Ramadan fasting
